CHURCH  MISSION OUTREACH:

 A partial list of programs we support through our time and giving:

 All levels of the denomination:

Erie Church’s Mission outreach:

·      Boxes of needed items are sent to military personnel stationed overseas.

·      School and classroom supplies are provided for adopted a Head Start classroom.

·      Non-perishable food items are available in our food closet for folks in time of emergency need.

·      Activity squares and lapaghans are made and donated to nursing home residents.

·      Prayer shawls are prayed over as they are handmade and then given to anyone who is in a time of healing for their body and spirit.  The Shawls represent the warm and comforting love of Jesus' arms wrapped around you.

·      Local families are adopted at Thanksgiving and Christmas and provided with full dinners.  At Christmas time gifts were also provided.

·      Personnel hygiene and care items continue to be collected, then given to area emergency shelters.

·      Hats, mittens and scarves are distributed to area children who don’t have them.

·      Funds are sent to the Maumee Valley Presbytery, Synod of the Covenant, and General Assembly to support local and worldwide mission work.

·      Participate in the “Operation Christmas Child”, a project of Samaritan’s Purse.

·      Twice a year we put on a fund-raising dinner offering good home-cooking and fellowship as a service to our community and to support church operations.

·      Participate in an ecumenical Lenten worship series.
