Welcome to First Presbyterian Church of Erie.  Take some time to look around and get to know us.   We invite you to come and worship with us every Sunday morning at 9:30 am.

PARKING & ENTRANCES

Parking is available on the west side of the church.  Entrance to the sanctuary is off  Manhattan St

The Fellowship Hall can be entered from the sanctuary and the parking lot.Both entrances are handicap accessible.

Our newsletter, THE BEACON, is published on a monthly basis. Upcoming events, a message from the Pastor, a monthly calendar, along with other interesting news about church activities are included in this publication.  Sharon Grodi is the Editor.


 NURSERY

We welcome children of all ages in worship.  We also recognize there are times when small children need wiggle-and-giggle space.  For their comfort, we have child care available.

SESSION

 The session is responsible for the mission and government of the church.  It also provides for the spiritual nurture and care of the church’s members and friends.  Session consists of the ordained Elders in active service (elected by the congregation), the Pastor and the Clerk of Session

COMMUNION
Communion is served the first Sunday of every month and on other special occasions.

 The Lord’s Supper is the sign and seal of eating and drinking in communion with the crucified and risen Lord.

The invitation to the Lord’s Supper is extended to all who want cleansing and renewal and to be assured of God’s love and grace in Jesus Christ.

Communion is served by passing the trays of bread and wine (actually juice). We hold the bread or wine until all are served then we partake together.

MUSIC

We have Piano and Organ music and at times we are blessed with Accordion music from the Kopmanis Family.  They are known for entertaining at our German Dinners.
